What is the integrated Stripe payment method?

Our platform allows you to easily connect your Stripe merchant account to your online shop. This gives you more control over payments while never leaving your shop. Your customers will be able to place their orders via Stripe, and you can find all the needed information in your site's admin dashboard. You can create manual orders, process refunds, and even void orders without ever leaving your site. Plus, all functionality is already integrated into your platform, so you don't need to install any extra plugins to start using it.

What is a Stripe merchant account and how can I get one?

Most payment processors will usually need a specific type of account that will allow you to process payments via them. Stripe is one of the most user-friendly options available that makes it easy to get started. You can create a new account by clicking the button to connect to the WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe page in your online shop.

You'll be able to create a merchant account during the connection wizard if you don't already have one.

Will the payment methods I have configured in my Stripe dashboard be available to use in my shop?

Yes, that's right! All payment methods you have enabled in your Stripe dashboard will also appear in your shop, however, there is one note to keep in mind. Our integration doesn't handle specific payment methods' requirements (e.g. allowed currency, minimum/maximum payment amount, etc). If a payment method isn't listed in your shop it's probably because Stripe allows or disallows methods to be available depending on the properties of the order being placed.

Is there a limit to the number of payment methods I can have enabled via Stripe?

No, you're free to enable and use as many as you'd like. But, as previously mentioned, some limitations may still apply depending on the properties of the orders being placed. So, even though our integration doesn't impose any specific limitations, it's still possible that some payment methods may not be available for use in your shop.

How can I test payments with Stripe in my store?

There's no test environment you can utilize. If you'd like to check if everything is working as expected on your end, you can create a low-priced product and place an actual order using one of the Stripe payment methods. Then, you can refund the transaction when your testing is done.

Keep in mind that if an order is failing, the product may be priced too low. Some payment methods have a limit on what the minimum payment amount can be for a transaction to proceed. We usually recommend $5 (or the equivalent amount in your currency) to ensure your test orders won't fail due to any limitations.
