Social media can be a valuable asset to any business. It allows you to establish a meaningful dialogue with your customers, instead of just blindly distributing information to them.

Connect your social media profiles to GoDaddy

By connecting your social media profiles to GoDaddy, you can manage everything from one central location.

We share some tips on choosing which social media platforms you need in this video.

You only need to be active on the social media accounts that are important to your audience. But, it’s also nice to have the other accounts claimed so someone else doesn’t grab your business name.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll to Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. From your Dashboard, select Marketing.
  4. Select any of the social platforms you want to connect: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Google My Business.
  5. Once you select each of them, you can connect with an account you already have or create a new account.
Note: You must have a Facebook business account, an Instagram professional (business or creator) account, and your Facebook and Instagram accounts must be linked.

Create a post

You will grow a following quicker if you create consistent content. It doesn’t have to be daily. Even once a month or every other week works.

Take a moment to prepare your message and create a professional-looking design on your own using Content Creator, powered by GoDaddy Studio.

  1. When you’re ready, go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll to Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. From your Dashboard, go to Marketing.
  4. Select Facebook, Twitter or Google My Business.
  5. Select Create Post.

Once you compose your message and add images or links, you’re able to post to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Google My Business all at the same time.

Display social media buttons on your site

Help build your audience and drive attention to your profiles by displaying social media buttons on your site.

  1. Go to your Dashboard.
  2. Select Edit Site to open your website editor.
  3. Go to where you want to place your social media buttons and add a section.
  4. Look for the Social section, then select Add.
  5. Edit your title, then copy and paste the URLs of each of your social media sites into the correct place.

To display images from your Instagram account:

  1. Add another section
  2. Look for the Social Feed section.
  3. Choose a layout, select Add and customize the title.
Note: You're only allowed one Instagram feed in your site. If you don't see it in the section list, then it's somewhere else on your site.

Remember to publish your site so your changes are visible to everyone else.

Pull in reviews

Reviews provide social proof that your products or services are awesome. We’ve even got some tips on how to ask your clients for testimonials or reviews.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll to Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. Select Edit Website or Edit Site to open your website builder.
  4. From your website editor, go to where you want to display your reviews and add a section.
  5. Find the Reviews section in the Social category.
  6. Select Add. You can add more than one Reviews section in more than one place.
  7. Edit the title and also change the background image if you’d like.
  8. Select how you wish to add reviews to your site:
    • Manually add a review that someone has sent you via email, text, or somewhere else.
    • Automatically incorporate reviews from Facebook, Google My Business, Yelp and Yotpo (a tool to help manage product reviews).

Remember to publish your site so your changes are visible to everyone else.

Your site is published and now you’ve connected all the parts of your online presence together in one place. The only thing left is to set up the ability to accept payment online.
