Trying to update a plug-in and got shut out of admin and getting "Syntax Error"

Hi! I was trying to update a plug in on my WordPress.org site when I was suddenly shut out of my admin entirely. All I get is this: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/content/68/12055268/html/wp-content/plugins/list-category-posts/include/lcp-widget.php on line 87

Can anyone help me figure out how to get back into my admin and to resolve this error? Any advice would be most appreciated! Thank you so much !

Hey there @MC8,

Thanks for being a part of the community!

It's simple enough to do some basic troubleshooting on your plugins and get back into the wp-admin area. Just follow this guide and you should be good to go. If you need more in-depth help, I would suggest using the WP Premium Support option, hiring a dev, or spending some time researching on the internet.

Hope that helps!
