    Free SSL is no longer available on Godaddy

    Hi there,

     

    I tried to have Let's encryped and zero SSL but I have failed. Because it is not allowed to create .well-known file on public-html, (which is .well-known ann acme-challenge. ) Godaddy does not allow us to do that because of security reasons. Why ?? it is because free  ? Please help me solving this problem.

    This is entirely dependent on server permissions.

     

    What hosting platform are you on? (I'm going to hazard a guess and say Managed WordPress.)

    You can try with Cloudflare. From Cpanel you can see the option for free SSL ..
